Project Red Curtains- Status: Completed!

I have accomplished my aim for this school holiday - to complete Project Red Curtains. As planned, I am suppose to sew the curtains before sis's engagement, this March. The curtains will blend in well with her engagement theme..maroon with gold dust sprinkled on the white curtain background. However, we decided to carry out the event in Obek's aka Uncle's place cause its more spacious then ours. Despite that, I still like to doll up our place with the red curtains. A plan will remain as a plan if its not carried out. So, I am carrying this one out since all the curtains are ready...they are just waiting to be displayed.

The project took me 4 days. Sewing machine was cooperating well, threads didn't snap half way just as often. Mom was all behind me while I toiled through the project in the kitchen. Mom cooked while I sewed. She has been my silent cheer leader...didnt even grumble a bit when I made mistakes. Infact, she patiently helped me undone the mistakes under her professional hands.

Despite the completion of the project, my satisfactionary level is not tip top.
Something is amiss....
Anyway, someone sent me an email to find out my true colour. In the verge of nothing better to do, I took the true colour test. As the result depicts, it explains fairly well why I choose this Blog Skin..

You're blue — the most soothing shade of the spectrum. The color of a clear summer sky or a deep, reflective ocean, blue has traditionally symbolized trust, solitude, and loyalty. Most likely a thoughtful person who values spending some time on your own, you'd rather connect deeply with a few people than have a bunch of slight acquaintances. Luckily, making close friends isn't that hard, since people are naturally attracted to you — they're soothed by your calming presence. Cool and collected, you rarely overreact. Instead, you think things through before coming to a decision. That level-headed, thoughtful approach to life is patently blue — and patently you!
Interesting ehh...? I have never thought my colour would be blue. Thought might be green or pink or purple or red or even white cause those are my favourite colours. But then again, my favourite colours might not be the colour which reflects me. If you know me in person, you be the judge. Is blue patently me?
Ros' satisfactionary level : 7/10....outz.....

Incident in Bugis

I was composing my blog in NLB. To be exact, I was about to press the "Publish Post" button when the computer just go POOFfff! Anyway, here I am again recalling what was written. Definately for sure my new lappie will not just go POOfff to disappoint me.

I was about to enter the Malay Referance section when I was stopped by an akak security. She wears a Boom BoOm wig.
Feel like asking her, "What nice hair you have there, kakak..can I have a pic with you so that I can publish it in my blog?" Anyway, I was sane to keep the idea strictly to myself then. However, during our conversation I just can't help but to look at her Tina Turner's crowning glory. I wonder..of all the thousand wigs available in the market, why did she have to choose that one?? To each its own beauty... thats the only explaination I can find.
Rewinding...
On my way to library, I was stopped by a skinny Chinese man. First he asked if Bugis is anywhere near to Hougang. Then, he told me that his car had broke down and he couldn't get his friend to pick him up. Here comes the familiar part...then he asked if I could give him enough money for a bus ride to Hougang. Putting all the information together, my detective brain said that since he claimed to be a motorist, how is he not to know that Hougang and Bugis is nothing anywhere near. Nice try uncle! So, I told him the most valid reason available - I didn't have small change. Then he replied that if I didn't want to help then don't give him that kind of excuse. Errrr..erhmmm??? That kept me dumbfolded standing there under my blue umbrella while he turned and walked away. And something at the back of my mind asked..what if it is a genuine case?? What if my rational isn't right after all. What if...............that is the problem with me, often give people the benefit of the doubt. "What if" will lead to infinity counts.
Rewinding...
It was a wet day. Excellent for ZZZzzzz....zzzz. I had my less then an hr of PT today. I was late..this time 15mins! The best New Year's resoulution I can think of now is :- Be Punctual. When my days in La Salle were numbered, amazingly I was able to reach there 30 mins earlier effortlessly. But now, when I tried to be early for appointment, it just overshot again.

My First Public Blog

Decades ago, beings like myself made used of free web host like geocities to have our webbies up on the net. Now, blogging is an IN thingy. Its simple to use for whats needed are just creative juices to fill the empty spaces.

That brought me here. My blog is a space about myself, a place for me to keep in touch with my friends and a place for me to practice organising and penning out my ideas in a sensible logical manner. So here it goes...

I have asked for transfer and gotten it! While browsing through my new school webbie, I came across Rina's name. The familiar name..Rina Toh Siow Hoon. That sound so much like my NUS mates. The mates whom I had been spending most of my time mugging, attending lectures and having lunch with while in campus. We lost touch eversince she got married after graduation. If its really her, it would be great! However its stated as "Miss Rina Toh Siow Hoon" hmmmmm..."Miss"? But again, maybe they have made a mistake. It happends too in La Salle where a Mdm is being titled as 'Miss' in the organisational chart. Maybe the only explaination for the 'fault' is....while one is at work, one is expected to dedicate ones time and 'singlehood' life. Only when ones walk out the school gate, one regains the true martial status..hmm....*ponders*. Scarry as it seems, that is what has been like almost everywhere in the sector. As far as possible, I try to avoid myself from being swayed into it in order to keep my sanity in check.

Cikgu Ros' sanity still in check..outz
